1. My horse rubs his mane on a pipe fence or other object, will these help?
A. If the horse will stay in the area that he is currently rubbing the mane on, I recommend the Heavy Duty Lycra mane tamer as it is stronger and will hold up better if the horse is to stay in the area that has the abrasive object. The lycra hoods in standard material do not hold up well to the abrasive items that are rubbing your horses mane out already.
2. What type of hood should I get.
A. There are many options for Lycra hoods, different weighted fabrics, different styles, Zippered or not, and Velcro Closures. We have found that the Zippered or Non Zippered is more of a individual preference. If you have a horse that is weary of items being put over the head or ears, I recommend the zippered hood. Open Shoulder is a cooler hood and is used when rubbing of the shoulders by sheets or blankets are not a concern. Our Standard hood comes with a buckle type closure and some people request velcro closures. We are happy to do velcro closures but do not recommend them as they will snag the hoods, and collect shavings, and hair.
3. I have a horse that is hard to fit, Do you do custom sizing.
A. We do offer custom sizing for horses at no additional charge. There is a hood measurement chart located on our sizing page with a chart for special sizing needs. Just fill it out and email it to us.
4. Do you offer a discount for multiple orders.
A. We do offer combined shipping and a 10% discount on quantities of 5 or more items ordered at one time. Our shopping cart will not apply these discounts so they have to be manually entered. You can shop using our cart and I will refund all discounts.
5. How long will it take to receive our order.
A. Because we are a small home based business with 2 sewers and are not manufactured, each item must be created. We do not keep any items premade and in stock. Normal creation time is 5 days but during peak seasons November through April, or special orders may take up to 7-10 days for creation. If we are ordering in special print fabrics, the same creation time applies once fabric is received.
6. I want a certain color or print - Can you help!
A. We currently keep in stock Black, White, Royal, Orange, Pink, Red, Purple, Yellow, Hunter, Burgandy, Navy.
We are always willing to find or locate a certain pattern or print for your needs also! Just shoot us an email, or give us a call!
You may also select a pattern or print of 4 way stretch material from www.spandexworld.com. Additional charges may apply to cover the cost of the material.
7. What does Drop Ship Item mean.
A. We have some relationships with some excellent vendors, and those items are shipped directly to you by that vendor.
